Wine Tasting for July 7th, 2017

by Jonathan Gaby on July 7, 2017

Well, you’ve made it to the weekend! Congratulations! We always find that when we have a holiday in the middle of the week like we did on Tuesday, we’re all a little out of sorts. Fortunately, we know that you’ve worked hard and gotten through and ready for the weekend!

Wine Tasting - Honoro Vera 2015 Rueda Two Pears 2015 Pinot Grigio Quattro Mani 2015 Montepulciano D'Abruzzo Bogle 2015 Old Vine Zin

What’s great about this weekend is that there is a free concert sponsored by United Bank, weather permitting…

M.A.D. Women

Tonight you’ll be able to hear the M.A.D Women Band¬†perform!

The M.A.D. Women band is a four piece all women band featuring Barbara Allender, Cindy Ray, Kim McCrady, and Amy Jo Madden in a dynamic and wide range of music from folk, to rock, to country!

Wines Selected

Honoro Vera 2015 Rueda

“Rueda is all about the Verdejo grape (with its pear, apple and lemon flavors) but it is often blended with Viura and Sauvignon Blanc, or so it has been since the 1960s. And for good reason: all three grapes are tangy and refreshing.”

Three Pears 2015 Pinot Grigio

“With inviting aromas of pear and baked apple, our Pinot Grigio has fresh and delicate pear and nectarine flavors, rounded out by a lingering, honeyed-sweet finish.”

Quattro Mani 2015 Montepulciano D’Abruzzo

“Bright, lively and perfect for sipping with food or just on its own. Un-oaked, so pure expressions of ripe and underripe red fruits which make for a tangy, delicious everyday wine.”

Bogle 2015 Old Vine Zin

“Greeted with sun-ripened raspberries and freshly ground white peppercorns on the nose, this Zinfandel is saturated with flavors of red berries and cranberries. Laced with a hint of savory herb in the background, the traditional tones of juniper lead to a full and ripe finish, while 12 months of aging in two year old barrels wraps the wine in spicy oak and a touch of vanilla wafer.”

Join Us for a wine tasting from 4-7pm on Friday July 7, 2017 and enjoy the concert on the Old Capital Lawn in historic Downtown Frankfort!
