by Jonathan Gaby on July 6, 2017

We are almost to the weekend with Thursday being called, “little Friday”. Hopefully you’ve been able to get some work done and you’re enjoying the summer climate.

Wine Tasting - Two Mountain 2016 Rose, Rattlesnake Hills, Washington Domaine de la Patience 2015 Chardonnay, France Scarpetta Wines 2014 Frico Rosso Toscano, Italy Clos Siguier 2015 Cahors, France

This Thursday and Friday we’re featuring new wines that we have received from our distributors. Speaking of new, we have a new distributor and these wines are coming from them, Dauntless Distributing.

Wine Tasting Selection:

Two Mountain 2016 Rose, Rattlesnake Hills, Washington

“This Rosé opens with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and hints of floral followed by flavors of cranberry, strawberry and rhubarb with wonderfully firm acid on the finish.”

Domaine de la Patience 2015 Chardonnay, France

“Pale yellow in the glass with a tart, fruity nose and dynamic mineral scents. The palate opens with crisp citrus and peach flavors that are boosted by vibrant acidity and heady minerality.”

Scarpetta Wines 2014 Frico Rosso Toscano, Italy

“With a bright ruby red color, and nose of cherry, cranberry, and subtle spice, this blend hits you with a burst of cherry, Japanese plum, and earthy flavors. A juicy wine with light tannins and moderate in length.”

Clos Siguier 2015 Cahors, France

“Deep purple in the glass with an amethyst rim. Plum, cherry, and blackberry fruit with cool black tea notes dominate the nose. A fruit-driven palate follows and is backed by pounded stones. This medium-bodied red has great minerality, moderate acidity and finishes with silken tannins.  Can be drunk young or aged. A versatile wine.”

We invite you to our wine tasting on Thursday, July 7, 2017 from 4-7pm at Capital Cellars in historic downtown Frankfort!
