Wine Tasting - Capital Cellars - Casal Garcia 2016 Vinho Verde Protea 2015 Chenin Blanc Robert Mondavi 2014 Pinot Noir Robert Mondavi 2014 Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon

We love the fall season too. It’s the calm before the storm as we are getting going to November and December. Our biggest months. This week, we want to “sip” into the fall season, so join us from 4-7pm to taste wines that will go well with your special event, gathering, or get together with friends and family.

Casal Garcia 2016 Vinho Verde
“It has a citrus color, a clear and slightly effervescent. It is a soft and fresh wine with aroma delicate, fruity, young and balanced.” – Casal Garcia

Protea 2015 Chenin Blanc
“The Protea Chenin Blanc is pale lemon in appearance. It shows aromas of fresh citrus fruit and honeysuckle. On the palate, you’ll find crisp citrus flavor with tangy lemon vibrancy that is matched by more of the nectarine and stone fruit fleshiness in the mouth. Lively with lovely light body and a gentle persistence.” – Protea Wines

Robert Mondavi 2014 Pinot Noir
“Unlike other reds, Pinot Noir grapes prefer the cool northern Coastal California over the warm southern region. Fussy grape, unfussy wine. The color is of a light ruby red with a nose of strawberry, roses, vanilla and you’ll taste notes of cherry and raspberry. This wine will pair well with pot stickers, lamb burgers” – Robert Mondavi Private Selection

Robert Mondavi 2014 Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon
“It’s about 2,500 miles from Kentucky Bourbon country to our Coastal California vineyards. But one sip will tell you, it’s one long-distance relationship that was always meant to be. You’ll see a color of deep cherry red and smell toasty vanilla, brown sugar. Taste black cherry, blackberry. Serve with Bourbon glazed grilled ribs, charcuterie board” – Robert Mondavi Private Selection
